Mechanical Assembly Technician

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, and the ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and work instructions in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical systems according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Install and connect components including tubing, fittings, valves, pumps, electrical components, and control systems
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, BOMs, and assembly instructions
• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections
• Support manufacturing, production, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with inventory, material handling, and production support activities

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, construction, maintenance, installation, or manufacturing
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with plumbing, piping, conduit, pumps, valves, filtration systems, HVAC, or industrial equipment is preferred
• Comfortable standing, lifting, and working in a production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hawthorne, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
