Something bewilderingly beautiful can be born of pain.  In fact, an uphill crawl through sand and grit brings us Chloe Dévoilé.  Conjuring images of elegant beauty, sensuality, darkness, light and countless emotions, she seeks to unveil the mysteries that create the soul’s magical design.

A quintuple threat, composing/writing, singing, playing, as well as producing her own music, Chloe further animates her songs through the use of dance and a dose of drama.  Her sound is a musical prism.   If you were to combine the fire of Chaka Khan, the sophistication of Anita Baker,  the heady elegance of Sade, the  edge of Lenny Kravitz,  the inigmatic soul of Adele and the rich  harmonics of Steely Dan, you might get an artist called Chloe Dévoilé.

On the path to transformation, under a different artist name, she produced and released a positively reviewed EP, which boasts performances from bassist Alex Al, who is featured in the documentary, This Is It.   After a long pause, during which she conquered a complicated illness, healed and regained strength, Chloe was inspired to forge ahead with a renewed creative spirit.   Since her debut independent effort, she has written, composed and produced new cutting edge material for her forthcoming releases, unveiling a sensitive, musical spirit.

With fresh recordings and updated mixes, Chloe Dévoilé promises to take you along on an unpredictable journey, featuring such gifted musicians as Mike White (Steely Dan), Grammy-winner Ricky Lawson (Michael Jackson, Steely Dan), Alex Al (Michael Jackson & Anita Baker), Goffrey Moore (Jonatha Brooke), Chris Donahue (Emmylou Harris, Dave Matthews), Ken Lewis (Sixpence None the Richer, Ben Folds), and David Wilder (Macy Gray). Chloe has developed an individual sound that undoubtedly evolved from living, learning and  letting music live through her, no matter the genre.

Looking back, in the early days pursuing her dreams, being awarded a FACTOR CD grant was in essence recognition of Chloe’s  potential as a recording artist. The exotic, bilingual West Indian/Canadian has lived and performed around the world, including France, England, the United States, Morocco, Canada and New Zealand. As a young dance student, she declined an invitation to join New York’s Rod Rogers Dance Company, in order to continue pre-professional training at The Ailey School, and classical technique at Joffrey Ballet School.   Since rekindling her courtship with dance,  Chloe Dévoilé  continues to cultivate all aspects of her artistry.  She is also a musician with a background in drama, having cut her teeth in television and film.   Born to bring forth music, on stage, her artistry is  revealed through  rich, multi-textured vocals and an electrifying presence .  She connects with audiences through often poetic and personal musical revelations, supported by drama and dance.  She’s melodic soul, reaching out with the force of rock.  There is no one single music box in which to place her, for she exists between the sand and stars—between the earth and infinite galaxies.   This is  Chloe Dévoilé.
